Patented flux filter for purity.

In order to deliver the purest possible products, the ALLITE SUPER MAGNESIUM process was designed to reduce as much oxygen and other inclusions as possible during casting of the raw material. We have developed a proprietary, patented flux filter that reduces the quantity of oxygen and other inclusions by more than 10%.

Fine grain structure.

To achieve as small crystals as possible, we are cooling the material through our patented double crystallizer cooling process. The result is 20% smaller crystals compared to a traditional cooling process.

Corrosion resistant.

Due to the high purity grade and the proprietary content of rare-earth elements, ALLITE SUPER MAGNESIUM has corrosion rates of the same order as some corrosion-resistant aluminum alloys. Through our proprietary process we have reduced the impurity levels to an absolute minimum to mitigate corrosion effects. Depending on the part and the use case, galvanic corrosion can be completely eliminated through coating and isolation solutions.

PEO surface treatment technology.

Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation (PEO) is a bath-based method of producing ceramic layers on the surface of light alloys. PEO surface coatings are characterized by their wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and thermal and chemical stability. Our carefully tailored and proprietary PEO technology produces hard and dense ceramic coatings that are optimized to provide a combination of important properties and benefits:

Weld. Form. Cast.

Our lightweight, high-strength alloys feature excellent shock absorption properties, good electromagnetic shielding performance, good heat dissipation, and recyclability.

AE81 is designed for application where weldability and/or die-castability are a priority in combination with excellent strength and good elongation.

AE70 is designed specifically for application where weldability is a priority in combination with excellent strength and elongation without the need to heat treat.

ZE62 is designed to deliver a superior combination of elongation and strength. It’s a high-performance alloy that enables shapes and structures never before possible, primarily through forging processes.

WE54 is designed for excellent high-pressure castability and offers weight reduction without compromising performance. It maintains its mechanical properties at elevated temperature and offers excellent machinability.

How Does ALLITE^® SUPER MAGNESIUM^TM Compare to Other Materials?

Our alloys compare favorably to other materials and magnesium alloys on the market. But only ALLITE^® SUPER MAG^TM has flame retardancy that allows it to melt, instead of burn, under a 1200° F flame.
